(1) I have to go to the dentist tomorrow for a filling. I'm not particularly dreading the dentist visit but I also am not a real fan of going to the dentist. I had a cleaning last week and the hygienist told me she has people that actually go to sleep while having their teeth cleaned. I can't imagine falling asleep while the whirr of machinery and scraping and the like is going on inside your mouth. Anybody that can sleep through this ordeal must be extremely sleep deprived if you ask me.
(2) I went to the Montgomery, Alabama zoo recently with a friend of mine. I had an annual pass so the trip was free to get in but we paid to ride the train around the zoo perimeter and to feed dried hay to the giraffes. I took a few pictures but the shots didn't really turn out that well so I probably won't post them today.
(3) It’s getting closer to Christmas and this year just not overly into any cheerful spirit. I drive with the radio on in the car and get annoyed at the same old Christmas music playing on the radio so I turn it off and listen to music on my mp3 player. Or I get to a store and more and more Christmas music plays and leaves me rather annoyed. Then I watch television and see more and more commercials with sales upon sales for our must have products.
One of my friends actually put up a wish list for Amazon.com. To him Christmas is really a time to give presents and get presents. He’s made a careful list of products he wishes for strongly and encourages you to use the list as a buying guide rather than purchase something he really doesn’t want.
All I really want for Christmas I’ve purchased myself. Season 10 on DVD of Smallville is one of the coveted items I felt I must have for myself this year. The other is the final season of Lost. Maybe it’s the OCD in me but I can’t have all the seasons except the final one for my collections. But I did abruptly stop at Season 10 of the Simpsons. It’s just not that funny any more to me. But maybe it’s just me having the blahs for Christmas this time of year. Families gather closer to one another and friends gather closer to friends to celebrate the joy of Christmas.
Not feeling it yet this year. I’m enjoying a rather decadent chocolate covered doughnut from my favorite shop in Montgomery, G&S Donuts. I’ve included even a half eaten picture of said delicacy for your perusal. Maybe after this and a nice walk I’ll feel better.

Until then…bah humbug.
Have a good week everyone!!

Always glad to read your updates. No matter what was being done, I could never fall asleep at the dentist. Don't you hate how they always want to talk to you when your mouth is full of tools and their hands? Ironic how they can understand what your saying.
I used to create a wishlist on paper when I was a kid. I would turn it in and magically some of what I wrote down would appear under the tree on Christmas day.
Glad you got what you wanted for Christmas. I'm looking forward to food and fellowship with friends. I am also looking forward to getting the holidays over with so maybe, just maybe I can go back to work (crosses fingers).
Your wonderful treat sounds good. It wouldn't be good for me, then again nothing has been that I've eaten for about the past month or so. Holiday food. I'll be watching for donuts at the store tomorrow, I'm hungry now!
I hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
Take care!
